The theory of evolution is founded on the fact certain traits are passed on more often than others. These characteristics make it easier for individuals to reproduce and survive which is why they tend to increase in numbers over time.

The book might not be as comprehensive as it should be, but it still gives a good overview of the debate. It also makes it clear that evolutionary theory is a well-confirmed scientific theory that is widely accepted by experts in the field and deserving of the rational approval. However the book is not more than persuasive when it comes to the issue of whether God has any influence on evolution.
